Dr. Stephen Davey planted Colonial in 1986 and has served as the Pastor/Teacher throughout its history. He is a graduate of Tennessee Temple University (B.A.), Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary (M.Div.), and Dallas Theological Seminary (S.T.M.). Stephen and his wife, Marsha, have been married 29 years and have been blessed with four children: twin sons Benjamin [wife Caroline] and Seth; daughters Candace and Charity. In addition to his pastorate, Stephen is President of Shepherds Theological Seminary and teaches internationally through the radio program, Wisdom For The Heart.

Dr. David Burggraff joined the staff of Colonial in July 2009 as Executive Pastor. Prior to coming to Colonial, he served three and a half years at Clearwater Christian College in Florida, and seventeen years as President, Dean, and Professor of Theology at Calvary Baptist Seminary in Pennsylvania. He also was a senior pastor in Lebanon, PA and Owatonna, MN. In addition to his pastoral functions at Colonial, David is Chaplain and Professor of Theology at Shepherds Theological Seminary. He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota (B.Ch.E), Calvary Baptist Theological Seminary (M.Div., Th.M.), and Dallas Theological Seminary (Ph.D.). Dave and Lucy have three sons: Philip (wife Tia), Andrew (wife Allyson), Nathan, and five grandchildren.

David Loftis joined the Colonial team in June 2003 after spending fifteen years in Milwaukee, WI as a worship pastor. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Tennessee Temple University and a Master of Religious Education from Temple Seminary. David comes to Colonial with a missionary heart, having been nurtured by missionary parents serving in Jamaica and Australia, and having been involved in missions training in seven different countries and in conferences for key missions organizations. Mike MalpassOutreach Ministry

Mike Malpass joined the staff of Colonial in September of 2002. His previous ministry experience includes 18 years in lay ministry with students, and serving as a deacon and elder. Mike worked in engineering and engineering management for 25 years before beginning seminary in the fall of 1999. He received a Master of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in May, 2002. He and his wife, Patti, have three children: Allison (husband Seth), Kristen (husband Nathan), David, and one grandchild.
Aaron MillerStudent Ministry

Aaron Miller joined the staff of Colonial in July of 2006. While earning his B.A. from Southeastern College in Wake Forest, NC, he served as Student Pastor in South Boston, VA and Raleigh, NC. Just before coming to Colonial, Aaron worked for Capital Ministries in the NC State Legislature. He has had the opportunity to speak to hundreds of teenagers in schools and churches around the Triangle. Aaron is currently pursuing his M.Div. in Christian Apologetics from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Ingrid, have two children: Noah and Joselyn.

Stephen joined the staff in March of 2006. He received his Master of Divinity in Biblical Counseling from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Prior to his coming, Stephen served over 10 years as a counseling pastor. He is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors and is certified as a Prepare/Enrich Marriage Counselor. Stephen is currently pursuing a D.Min. in Pastoral counseling from Westminster Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Kim, have two children: Madison and Parker.

Brad Harbaugh joined the Colonial Staff in August of 2002. Brad received his B.M.E. in Pastoral Ministry at Baptist Bible College of PA and his Masters in Religious Education from Grand Rapids Baptist Seminary, Michigan. Prior to his coming to Colonial, Brad served more than twenty years of full time ministry as a youth pastor in Fostoria, OH; a worship pastor in Grand Rapids, MI; and a senior pastor in Evart, MI. Throughout his ministry God brought countless singles and single-again people across Brad's path for pastoral counsel, care and discipleship training. Brad is currently pursuing a D.Min. in Pastoral counseling from Westminster Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Robin, have four children: Andy (wife Missi), Megann (husband Matt), Josh and Becca, and three grandchildren.

Walter Ross joined the staff of Colonial in August of 1997. He has served as resident chaplain at Rex Hospital in Raleigh since 1996. Prior to that, he served as Pastor of several churches around the country since 1968. He received his Bachelor of Arts in History from Geneva College, Beaver Falls, PA, and a Master of Divinity from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, Wenham, MA. He and his wife, Barbara, have two daughters: Tiffany (husband Matt), and Heather (husband Ted), and four grandchildren.
Don SandbergAdult, College/Career Ministry

Don Sandberg joined the staff in 2005 after 22 years of teaching high school science and Bible. He has also served as an Adult Bible Fellowship teacher since 1996 with our single adults. In addition, Don served on Colonial's elder team for seven years before joining the pastoral staff as Pastor of Adult Ministries in April, 2006. Don graduated with a Bachelor of Science in secondary education from Tennessee Temple University and earned a Master of Arts in Theology from Trinity Theological Seminary. He is currently working on his doctorate and is teaching at Shepherds Theological Seminary. Don resides in Raleigh with his wife, Kay, who is a professor of chemistry at North Carolina State University.

Scott Wylie joined the staff of Colonial in October of 1995. He served for six years on a church staff in Michigan. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Bible/Theology from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Il. and a Master of Religious Education from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Il. He and his wife, Lorie, have two children: Chad and Eric.
